Cleveland’s primary objective with the HiBore XL was extracting the maximum amount of stability and forgiveness possible, the two categories where the first HiBore dwarfed the competition. To do so, Cleveland relied on artificial intelligence to fashion the head, ultimately landing on a triangular chassis. This innovative profile allows for two pivotal traits that a traditional driver can’t achieve while adhering to USGA regulations. First, it positions the rear sole weight exceptionally low and a vast distance from the face. The resulting center of gravity generates a massive amount of MOI, the measurement for stability. Second, the triangular shape permits for one of the largest and most forgiving ball striking areas on the market, including an expansive sweet. Whereas a typical rounded driver must sacrifice one of these attributes, the HiBore’s cutting-edge construction can simultaneously deliver both.
Cleveland finishes the HiBore XL with Mitsubishi’s TENSEI AV Blue shaft and Golf Pride’s Tour Velvet 360 grip.
